Joao Perre Viana
Joao is a Strategos Network Partner with over 15 years of experience, having worked in nine different countries with a focus in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, nevertheless in September he can be found in sunny Portugal taking care of his grapes.
Joao has helped different top managers from a variety of industries to set strategic directions, identifying and developing new growth opportunities and aiming to make their organizations more innovative.
After launching his own Digital business in the mid 1990´s, Joao started his corporate career when he joined Lowe Lintas, later he held senior positions with J. Walter Thompson, Duval Guillaume in Belgium, Leo Burnett in Central Asia acting as Deputy Managing Director and worked for Brandia Central as COO.
His last Business Assignment was the creation of a new Education Group, bringing together different schools from all ages and academic degrees where he worked has CEO.
Throughout his career, he developed different strategies and created every imaginable strategic branding solution for many of the worlds largest corporations, as well as for numerous smaller enterprises.
One of João passion is related with real options and game theory, subjects that he depicted deeply during is master thesis with the development of the FuBurem scenario model.
Some of his most recognized work included: UEFA, Procter & Gamble, Philip Morris, McDonalds, Inbev, Nestle, Unilever, Vodafone and many more local business.
João holds a Law degree and has an MBA from Vlerick Leuven/Ghent Management School in Leuven. He also post-graduated in Marketing and Management.
He taught Integrated Marketing Communications, interactive advertising and International Advertising at KIMEP in Central Asia, Brand Planning & Message Strategy at EADA in Barcelona and Marketing at Executive MBA in Kiev.
João has been involved on a permanent basis in volunteer work among less favored schools.
João is invited to speak at trade conferences and luncheons. He conducts seminars, training sessions on Innovation, scenario planning and branding for Private and Public companies, Trade Associations and Educational Institutions.
